This chapter is so perfectly awesome, I really can't add much to it. So instead, I'll just tell you one memory of it from my childhood. In the burgundy KJV leather-bound Bible I sported as a kid, I wrote a note in the margin on this page. It says, "toothbrushing chapter" in pink marker. A preacher I once heard said he prayed this prayer every day while he brushed his teeth.
Now I imagine the prayer must have been in his head or that would probably be messy. But, I think I'm in a place where I need to add to my oral hygiene routine. I'm going to try to pick up this habit myself. And if it speaks to you like it does to me, then I challenge you to do it, too. I still don't plan on starting something with any lions or cobras, but I would love to sense this level of protection throughout my day.
Plus, I'm not exactly what you would call a morning person. If this only helped me be nicer to my family, that would be a big win. :)

I remember that big 'sword' you carried! Just re-read this chapter--one of my favs. It all speaks to me and I love it so much, but this morning verses14-16 screamed at me. My goodness, what a precious thing for the creator of the universe to say about me---HE is going to hear me, answer me,rescue me, protect me and give me long life because I love Him!! I couple that with Ps 138:8--during that long life He gives me, I will be doing His plan & purpose for my life. This morning He is re-stirring, and re-visioning me to move on with His plan. Even if it seems like baby steps.
