Genesis 1

This is the best place to begin to know God. The beginning. And Francis Chan this past weekend made a great point about it. If God created everything, then what can't He do? No matter what other outlandish or ridiculously improbable events occur on the pages that follow, it really shouldn't make the Bible any harder to believe than this page. Because either God created everything and is therefore powerful enough to do any other miracles, or the entire book from cover to cover is the antiquated crutch atheists claim it to be.

It's sad to me to hear people who profess to be Christians who don't buy in to the Bible's 100% truth. I mean, I know there's hard-to-fathom and even contradictory stuff in it. But either God is who He says He is and can do what He says He can do, or none of it matters. None of us matter. Nothing matters. Existence is all a big meaningless joke.

So, for you, which is it? Are you all in? Do you accept the power of God to accomplish all that is contained in this book and to control the compilation of this Holy document itself? Or do you have doubts? Doubts are OK to have, but they have to be addressed and worked through. Don't just wallow in them and let them fester. Dive in to God's Word and allow Him to speak to you through it and dispel your doubt.

Amen. It is interesting... just yesterday I was once again challenged to know more about others (yes even atheist) stance so to witness to them. I believe, however, there is still power in the very word of God. He did not choose only scholars and wise people to represent Him and His will... He chose the weak, the humble, the o r d i n a r y.

Count me in.. I believe the His Word is all that is needed. Did I say Amen? Amen- Hallelujah!
