Job 41

God keeps right on going but I really don't get bored with this. Hearing God talk about what it's like to view things from His perspective is fascinating. So much insight into His nature to be gained here.

Really this whole chapter is God's musings about one of His own creations. So much information about a creature yet we aren't even exactly sure which one He means. A crocodile? A dinosaur? A sea monster? You can tell how fond God of His creation for Him to digress about it in such detail.

The computer I'm writing on is my husband's beloved 20" screen laptop. He has named it Leviathan. And if it even gets brought up in conversation, he goes on and on about its wonderful features, its usefulness, and its sleek beauty. He proudly displays it at every chance. (It is really nice.) He's fond of it but it's just a purchased possession. Think of how the maker of it feels. Now imagine if you'd made a leviathan. Now take one more leap and think about if you'd created you.

Yep. God is deeply, wildly, unabashedly in love with you. He talks fondly of every detail of your wonderful uniqueness. No matter how awkward or strange or useless you may feel sometimes, He is just as proud of you and me as He is of this unknown dragon. So go back and read this chapter again and this time read between the lines to hear the love only a Creator can have for His created.
