Acts 2

Pentecost. Possibly the greatest day in history. Jesus' birth, His death, His resurrection are all good days for sure. But Jesus said He had to go so that Someone even better could come. Better than God with us? God in the flesh? Yep! God in us. God in our flesh.

The Holy Spirit of God promised to us. Made available to all people. God's full power and presence walking with is daily. Not just to them, but to their descendants. Us.

It's easy to forget about the Holy Spirit. We've insulated our lives from Him in a lot of ways. We certainly don't see this kind of outpouring every day. Miracles. Life transformations. Supernatural power. But He's there. Or is He?

I'm reading Francis Chan's new book Forgotten God. It's rattling me a lot. Just like his first book Crazy Love. And I wonder. Can you separate the Holy Spirit from the evidence for Him. If we don't see Pentecostal power is He there? I challenge you to read the book. But I mainly challenge you to read this chapter and reflect on when your life (if ever) has witnessed this kind of outpouring of the Holy Spirit. God promised it to us so it must be possible and available. Have you seen it? Do you know Him?
